HE Salem Bin Lahej, Director, Healthcare Fund Office, Dubai Health Authority (DHA)

HE Salem Bin Lahej is the Director of the Healthcare Fund Office at the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), where he has played an integral role in establishing the Patient Assistance Program and Patient Support Program, a pioneering initiative, spearheaded by DHA and their strategic partner, which helps qualifying patients who are unable to afford the full treatment cost and supporting the patient to meet any unmet needs during their treatment journey.

H.E Bin Lahej has a far-reaching and distinguished background in charitable causes. He sat on the Board of Directors of the Dar al Ber Society, a leading charity in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) that provides educational, cultural, medical, and humanitarian assistance to vulnerable populations. He also sits on the Board of Trustees of the Emirates Science Club, Culture and Science Symposium and on the Dubai Appreciation Award for Community Service.

Prior to joining the DHA in 1994, HE Bin Lahej spent over a decade serving the Ministry of Education of the United Arab Emirates, where he worked as a Social Worker and supported the establishment of infrastructure for social services and student activities.  He holds a bachelor’s degree from the United Arab Emirates University.
