Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Wahid, Clinical Oncologist
Dato’ Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Wahid has been a Consultant Clinical Oncologist for more than 17 years and a Medical Director at Beacon Hospital in Malaysia. He is the Past President of the Malaysian Oncological Society (MOS), the Past President of the Asian and Pacific Federation of Organization for Cancer Research and Control (APFOCC), and the Past President of for South East Asia Radiation Oncology Group (SEAROG).
He is currently the Vice President of the College of Radiology. He set up the cancer unit at University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) and subsequently became Head of Clinical Oncology of the cancer unit. He is a member of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology Oncology (ASTRO) and American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
Dr. Wahid has been involved in several clinical trials in the country and has numerous publications in peer reviewed journals. He completed his fellowships in oncology at Erasmus MC Daniel den Hoed Cancer Centre in Netherlands, MD Anderson Cancer Centre, Stanford University Medical School and Loyola University Cancer Centre in USA.
